People say time flies when youāre distracted ā when youāre scrolling, drifting, numbing, or letting the world pull you along. But lately Iāve been realizing the opposite. Time doesnāt fly when Iām distracted. It flies when Iām focused. When Iām fully inside the work, the moment, the breath, the body, the intention.
This season of my life is fuller than I expected, and itās teaching me that honest communication ā with myself and with others ā is the thread that holds everything together. From auditions to rehearsals to relationships, Iām learning that presence and truth are required everywhere.
Settling into Denver keeps offering new clarity ā through clients, community, and two unforgettable nights in the theatre. This week reminded me how stepping outside myself helps me return to who I really am.
I came to Denver expecting noise and disconnection, but what Iām finding instead is space, community, and a surprising sense of belonging. This post is a reflection on how easily we drift away from ourselves ā and how simple it can be to begin finding our way back.
