People say time flies when youāre distracted ā when youāre scrolling, drifting, numbing, or letting the world pull you along. But lately Iāve been realizing the opposite. Time doesnāt fly when Iām distracted. It flies when Iām focused. When Iām fully inside the work, the moment, the breath, the body, the intention.
Five callbacks, a clown-filled rehearsal room, a full yoga schedule, new training clients ā and somehow I feel more alive than ever. Change is everywhere. Renewal is possible. What might happen if you stepped outside your own box today?
This season of my life is fuller than I expected, and itās teaching me that honest communication ā with myself and with others ā is the thread that holds everything together. From auditions to rehearsals to relationships, Iām learning that presence and truth are required everywhere.
On my birthday, Iām reflecting on how easily digital connection overwhelms me ā and how grounding it feels to return to breath, movement, and the ināperson communities that keep me alive.
Settling into Denver keeps offering new clarity ā through clients, community, and two unforgettable nights in the theatre. This week reminded me how stepping outside myself helps me return to who I really am.
